write an essay that will demonstrate both your critical thinking skills, and your understanding of ONE theoretical perspective elaborated this semester. By semester’s end we will have explored a variety of theories that seek to explain the onset and continuation (or desistance) of criminal behavior. You will have learned that none of these perspectives can explain crime in every situation therefore there is no one “ideal” explanation of crime. Each of these approaches comes with their own policy implications and suggestions for how to reduce crime and deal with offenders to reduce future criminality.
You will need to elaborate/summarize the main tenets/points of the theoretical perspective you have chosen (rational choice theory; trait theory; social structure theory; social process theory; developmental theory; social conflict theory)
You must integrate the criminal behaviors discussed in the article using your chosen theory
You must elaborate why the theory you have chosen provides the best explanation
From a policy perspective, discuss at least ONE way in which this type of criminality might be deterred (this recommendation must be consistent with the theoretical approach you have chosen)
The essay should be a minimum of 2000 words and should include the following:
Introduction: A summary of the main goal of your paper.
Synopsis: Review and summarize the assumptions of the chosen theory. Show that you understand the thesis as well as supporting ideas.
Critical Analysis: Analyze how the theory can be applied to explain the case in hand. What is the main empirical evidence that proves the relevance of this theory? (Cite at least 3 resources to support your argument) How does this theory confirm or refute other theories covered in class?
Application: Where does this theory leave us in terms of crime control and prevention? What are the policy implications?
Conclusion: How does this theory add to your understanding of crime?
A first draft of this paper This should consist of a minimum of 1000 words .The final version of this paper should consist of a minimum of 2000 words.
To be clear: in your paper you are to use only ONE theory to explain the criminal behavior presented in the article. For example, ONE specific branch of Sociological theory . . . do NOT explain how each branch of Sociological theory could the criminal behavior.
Your applying theory reflection Draft #1 must be at least four pages in length, double spaced, in Times New Roman 12 point font, using one inch margins, and appropriate citations included using the APA citation system.
Your applying theory reflection Draft #2 (including the revised draft #1) must be at least eight pages in length, double spaced, in Times New Roman 12 point font, using one inch margins, and appropriate citations included using the APA citation system.

Who is my writer? Is he/she a native English Speaker?

All our writers are native English Speakers. That is not to say that ESL writers are not good, we just prefer hiring native writers because we want the very best people working on your paper. This might mean paying a little bit more for your paper as opposed to when you pay a foreign company whose writers are non-native English Speakers.

I have more assignments after this, can you help me with those too?
