For this assignment, you will use the technical term from your Extended Definition memo as the basis for an infographic, or informative graphic. Your infographic will combine graphics with text to accomplish one of three goals for a lay audience:
define the term,
describe a concept, or
detail a process for
AUDIENCE AND PURPOSE
Your infographic will define a technical term, concept, or process for a lay audience. Assume that your readers have a basic, well-rounded education, but no special knowledge of your field, except what they have been able to pick up from popular media.
OBJECTIVES AND REQUIREMENTS
To complete this assignment, you must compose an infographic that:
Provides a clear sentence definition of the term, concept, or process from the extended definition memo that appeals to laypeople
Gives readers a reason for wanting to know what you are telling them
Includes multiple graphics, such as:
Icons
Illustrations
Photos
Charts or graphs (or other form of visualized data)
Explains the term, concept, or process and in what context it is used;
Presents information clearly and logically for the audience it is intended for.
Employs background information your readers can reasonably be assumed to have, but make sure that a correct understanding of the material does not rely on their knowing something that they may very well not know. (In other words, if your definition relies heavily on the readers’ understanding of some additional material, make sure your design explains that material unless it is common knowledge for those readers.)
Incorporates a composition of your design that applies at least one of the following definition techniques:
examples,
partition,
principle of operation,
comparison and contrast,
analogy,
negation,
Etymology/history of the term.
**Do not simply submit an image with a caption. Thoughtfully compose a design that incorporates design elements and principles to convey information.**
FORMAT
Document must be submitted as a PowerPoint or Image file with one of the following extensions: .ppt, .pptx., .png., or .jpeg
You may construct the infographic element using the word processing, presentation, or graphic design program of your choosing
Formatting and design of the infographic version is at your discretion.
Contact me if you need assistance with document design for the infographic component.
Sourced images may be incorporated into the design, but these images MUST be accurately cited using APA or MLA documentation style. Please contact me if you have any questions about documentation.
PEER REVIEW INSTRUCTIONS
Create a new thread.
Title the thread: Infographic [Student Name]
In the Message field, briefly describe the purpose of your infographic (what were you trying to do with the draft) and
“Describe your viewing experience (how easy or difficult was it to view this draft?)”;
“Describe the quality of the composition and color theory (was the draft well-organized and easy to follow?)”;
“Describe the clarity of images and language and ideas in this draft (was it easy for the reader to understand the visual and textual content in this draft?)”.
You are not limited to these questions. Feel free to add your own questions or revise these questions to suit your purposes.
Also, in the Message field, ask your potential peer reviewers to examine at least three aspects of your work. I recommend that you use clear questions to ask your reviewers to describe their reactions to your draft. For example:
Attach or insert an image file (.jpg, .png, .ppt, .pdf) of the Infographic draft in the body of the message field.
Submit the thread for publishing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How soon can I get my paper done?

It depends with your deadline. If you need your paper completed in 3 hours, we will deliver it in that time. All you need to do is indicate your deadline in our custom order page here. Alternatively, if you are sending us your instructions via email, please be sure to indicate your deadline.

Will it be completely original? I don't want to be caught in a case of Academic Integrity Violation.

We are as paranoid as you are. Maybe even more! And we understand that the greatest sin you can commit in your academic journey is plagiarizing your academic work. To that end, we have made sure that we check and double-check our papers using high quality plagiarism detection tools such as SafeAssign and Turnitin before submitting the paper to you.

Who is my writer? Is he/she a native English Speaker?

All our writers are native English Speakers. That is not to say that ESL writers are not good, we just prefer hiring native writers because we want the very best people working on your paper. This might mean paying a little bit more for your paper as opposed to when you pay a foreign company whose writers are non-native English Speakers.

What if I need revisions? Will your charge additional for this?

Of course not! If you do happen to require a revision on your paper, our team will handle it for you free of charge. Matter of fact, we won’t rest till you are happy with your paper. So, ask for as many revisions as you need, it’s completely FREE!

Will you give me my money back if I don't like my paper?

We have very few instances where we delivered a paper that a client didn’t fall in love with. But if it so happens that you don’t like your paper for any reason whatsoever, we’ll refund your money back no questions asked.

I have more assignments after this, can you help me with those too?

Of course! And what’s even better is that we can reserve a writer permanently to work on your entire class. This comes in handy for projects which build up on each other and where you need just one writer, one writing style.

I got my order information wrong, can I change that?

Yes you can. Just reach out to our support team via email (support@essaynook.com) or live chat here and they’ll help you change the instructions.

Can I place an order via email instead of going through the order page?

Yes you can. Email Anna at anna@essaynook.com, she’s in charge of our sales team. Alternatively, you can talk to our Live Chat team here and request to speak to Anna.
