Overview: This week you are going to be writing the introduction statement for the first page of your portfolio. You’ve already practiced revising a piece of your writing toward a specific audience. You can use your bio as the base for your revision into a ePortfolio introduction.
Purpose: This introduction statement should serve as a lead-in to your portfolio where you can explain what themes (if any) can be found in the work and possibly provide a brief inventory of the works included, and reflect on the process of assembling your portfolio.
Genre: This falls under the ePortfolio.
Audience: Your audience is going to be whoever you are gearing your ePortfolio toward. If you are curating an ePortfolio for a future in higher education, then your audience is going to be the admissions board for your desired program. If your ePortfolio is geared toward a professional audience, your audience will be a decision maker in your chosen field.
Your introduction should be about two paragraphs long, but it is going to set up the argument or reflection of your portfolio.
Some questions to consider while writing your introduction:
What are you doing here?
Why are you doing it?
What does it matter?
What is the issue or topic you are presenting?
Note: You can be creative with your writing here. This is your introduction to your work where your reader will get to know you before they embark on your work.
You can use the bio you wrote for a professional audience as the base for your ePortfolio introduction. Remember, your ePortfolio is an argument, and the introduction is going to work the same way that a paper introduction would work. Use your introduction to set up the connection you’ll be making throughout the portfolio.
Post the introduction directly onto your ePortfolio.
Paper Length: Your introduction should be a minimum of two paragraphs.
My Bio
My name is Jakobe Quillen, and I’m from Florence, South Carolina. I transferred from Western Carolina, and the football staff recruited me to come here. A sister and two brothers make up my two siblings. I also have a dog named Roxie, who just celebrated her first birthday. I’ve decided to major in communications since I think it will open up a lot of opportunities for me in the future. My dream first position after graduating from college would be as a football coach in some form. That job looks like a great place to start building your coaching resume so you can eventually advance to the highest level of coaching. I’ll continue with the second part of my job, which is working as a sports analyst, after it is over. My ePortfolio should include information on my potential career experience as well as any steps I might need to take to realize my goals.

Frequently asked questions

How soon can I get my paper done?

It depends with your deadline. If you need your paper completed in 3 hours, we will deliver it in that time. All you need to do is indicate your deadline in our custom order page here. Alternatively, if you are sending us your instructions via email, please be sure to indicate your deadline.

Will it be completely original? I don't want to be caught in a case of Academic Integrity Violation.

We are as paranoid as you are. Maybe even more! And we understand that the greatest sin you can commit in your academic journey is plagiarizing your academic work. To that end, we have made sure that we check and double-check our papers using high quality plagiarism detection tools such as SafeAssign and Turnitin before submitting the paper to you.

Who is my writer? Is he/she a native English Speaker?

All our writers are native English Speakers. That is not to say that ESL writers are not good, we just prefer hiring native writers because we want the very best people working on your paper. This might mean paying a little bit more for your paper as opposed to when you pay a foreign company whose writers are non-native English Speakers.

What if I need revisions? Will your charge additional for this?

Of course not! If you do happen to require a revision on your paper, our team will handle it for you free of charge. Matter of fact, we won’t rest till you are happy with your paper. So, ask for as many revisions as you need, it’s completely FREE!

Will you give me my money back if I don't like my paper?

We have very few instances where we delivered a paper that a client didn’t fall in love with. But if it so happens that you don’t like your paper for any reason whatsoever, we’ll refund your money back no questions asked.

I have more assignments after this, can you help me with those too?

Of course! And what’s even better is that we can reserve a writer permanently to work on your entire class. This comes in handy for projects which build up on each other and where you need just one writer, one writing style.

I got my order information wrong, can I change that?

Yes you can. Just reach out to our support team via email (support@essaynook.com) or live chat here and they’ll help you change the instructions.

Can I place an order via email instead of going through the order page?

Yes you can. Email Anna at anna@essaynook.com, she’s in charge of our sales team. Alternatively, you can talk to our Live Chat team here and request to speak to Anna.
